Kyle at the beach

We spent Thanksgiving day at Hammonds Beach in Santa Barbara. Kyle loves the ocean more every time we go! As an added bonus, he no longer tries to eat large handfuls of sand at every chance he gets.

A few videos (sorry no sound):

Thanksgiving on the Road

After packing up our old place in California, we had Thanksgiving on the road this year.

We drove down to Santa Barbara, but there aren't many restaurants open on Thanksgiving. Of the possibilities, we (and most of the international grad students at UCSB) chose a nice Indian place.

The food was good, but instead of roast turkey or deep-fried turkey, our choices were turkey tandoori and turkey vindaloo. We opted instead for chicken:

Auntie Sandra and Uncle David

Kyle was very excited to meet up with his great aunt and great uncle in scenic Millbrae.

Mmmm, pie!

Kyle and Noah

Kyle was very shy with the adults at our Farewell to California party, but was very happy to play with Noah.

Fish Sticks

We still have yet to find a food that Kyle doesn't like. The latest favorite: fish sticks.

Hooded sweatshirt

Kyle hates his hood. Hats are even worse. Winter is going to be fun, really.

Stanford-Oregon Football

Kyle took me, Eric and Guillaume to watch Stanford beat Oregon at football.

The game was pretty exciting, but Kyle didn't agree (these photos are more remarkable when you consider that the band was about 20 meters from us).

Pre-Football Game Practice

For better or worse, it seems that Kyle is a natural.
