Kyle's Little Sib

Kyle is starting to understand that a little sibling is on its way. He knows that there's a baby in mommy's belly, and there's no baby in his belly, only food. He also knows that the baby will be small, so we'll have to be gentle with it, and has agreed that the baby can sleep in his crib now that he has moved on to the big-boy bed.

We're not finding out the gender of the baby in advance. I think it's a boy because I can only imagine having a son given that we have one already. Eric thinks it's a girl because he has two little sisters. We'll find out soon enough for now, I'm calling the baby "Tammy/Timmy the Twitcher".

Attempts at a family picture

Uncle Andrew

Zim boum laitoulala

Kyle has always loved Henri Des. Lately, instead of listening to the CDs, he's into watching the videos on YouTube. These videos are awesome...

The video for Zim boum laitoulala is particularly funny (as are the lyrics) and Kyle gets so excited when he hears the first few bars that he starts dancing just like Henri Des. Note the similarities...

Overstimulated

Kyle had an AMAZING time with Uncle Andrew, but was a bit wound up at the end of the day. Here are some samples of him babbling at bedtime during the time that Andrew was here (obviously these videos are quite dark, sorry).

Hooray!

Tool Time

My favorite new toy this winter is the Melissa and Doug toolbench. Kyle likes it too.

Jingle Bells

Not surprising given his parents, but Kyle turns out to be quite tone deaf.

Charlie

While having a lovely visit with Lindsay and Chris, Kyle had a fabulous time with three-year-old Charlie, who is even bigger for his age than Kyle.

Let it snow!

Biteen Lab Holiday Party

Kyle, Eric and I hosted the Biteen Lab holiday party,

where the "junior members" of the lab, Kyle and four-year-old T.Y., had a great time.
