Kyle gets a big kick out of his new mini basketball.

Grandma and Grandpa

Kyle had a great time when Grandma and Grandpa came to visit this past month.




He'll miss hanging out at Starbucks, going to storytime, and learning to wave bye-bye (unsuccessfully) with Grandma.




He'll also miss reading books with Grandpa and putting his hands in Grandpa's mouth.

Le Spray

Kyle's favorite time of day at our house is 6:00pm when the automatic sprinklers come on and he gets to play.

Congrats Uncle Andrew

A quick break from the usual baby pictures so that Kyle can congratulate his Uncle Andrew on graduating from McGill Law School (and passing the Quebec bar exam).

Toothbrush

To celebrate the (late) arrival of Kyle's first two teeth, we got Kyle a toothbrush. He enjoys playing with it, and sometimes even gets the bristle side into his mouth.

Kyle's New Ride

We've finally joined the ranks of suburban families and bought a Subaru Outback.

Plenty of room in the trunk for Kyle's stroller, Kyle's toys... Oh, and also Kyle:







Kyle's fairly excited about the sun roof, it makes the car feel less confining.




I'm more excited about the turbo engine - quite an upgrade from our poor little Civic.



No little boy, we don't think you're ready to take the wheel yet.

Soccer

We find all the best toys at Ikea. Take this stuffed soccer ball, for instance!

Food!

Eric was elated when we got the go-ahead to start feeding Kyle meat, and he nearly immediately went home to prepare some kjottkake (Norwegian meatballs) based on his grandmother's recipe (substituting formula for milk). Kjottkake is now Kyle's favorite food, surpassing even Cheerios!




Also on the subject of food, here's a recent video of Kyle eating a mango. Those guys are slippery!

Conservatory of Flowers

Visiting the Conservatory of Flowers in golden Gate Park. Kyle had fun, but wasn't impressed by the humid tropical plants area or the fact that he couldn't jump into the water.
