Mittens

Kyle took very quickly to his hat and boots, and more reluctantly to jacket and snowpants, but mittens continue to be a real challenge.

We spend a lot of time putting them on (I still don't understand how to get his little thumb in the thumb hole):




And there's no good way to keep them on - here, Eric is holding Kyle's hand - the mitts are way below!

Hello from Ann Arbor!

We've all been too busy to blog in a while, but Kyle is doing great here. This past month has been an explosion of language - Kyle went from having two words ("cka-cka" which meant duck, bird, or squirrel and "ba" for every word that starts with a B) to many. Some of our favorites are "apple", "baby", "Elmo", "concombre" (cucumber), and "chat" (cat). Some of his favorites are "no", "non", "more" and "encore".

More recent pictures and videos will follow soon, in the meantime I've cleared up some video backlog and posted a lot of videos from the beginning of December (when we were living in a rental house here) on my YouTube page.

Rental House

We lived at Ginny's for a couple weeks while waiting for the moving truck.

Post-Thanksgiving at Luke and Sarah's

Luke and Sarah had us over for a post-Thanksgiving meal (turkey pot pie) along with Richard, Maribeth and Phoebe. Always looking to be a good guest, Kyle brought the beers.



Kyle spent the meal hanging out with Phoebe. Since she is half his size and very gentle, Kyle was afraid of her at first.
