Jet Lag

Before our trip, we worried about the long flight (16 hours DIRECT from Detroit!), the weather, and the city being crowded. What we didn't anticipate was the effects of jet lag. It took five days to adjust to the 12-hour time difference, during which time the boys were awake and ready to party in Grandma and Grandpa's apartment at 2 am.

Swimming

A highlight of Grandma and Grandpa's apartment was the pool, which we visited daily.

Hong Kong Photos at Last...

We had a wonderful trip to Hong Kong at the end of August - amazing sites, delicious food, interesting culture, and of course our amazing and courageous hosts, Grandma Dale and Grandpa Jeff.

I'll describe our adventures over the next 8 or 9 days, but the highlight was of course having lots and lots of family time!

These last two photos are from Kyle's birthday party:

Asia in Videos

I'm still working on the pictures from August's Hong Kong trip, but in the meantime, I've at least uploaded some videos to YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/jsbiteen

A few of my favorites below...

We ate a lot of great food, but thanks to jet lag, sometimes the line between mealtime and bedtime was blurred:

Bed time was a blast though:

We spent a lot of time hanging out at (and causing havoc in) Grandma and Grandpa's apartment:

Finally, a few videos from my and Eric's trip to Beijing (sorry, no kids):

Hong Kong

Since I'm way behind on sorting photos, uploading movies, blogging and Facebook posting, anyone who wants to know more about the boys' trip to HK this past summer should check out my mom's most recent blog post.
